Weekly Reflect // #52

Hello everyone!

Well, last week included the long awaited return to school! Let's have a little reflect on what happened . . .

Weekly Reflect #52 // Going back to school with a chronic illness!

This week . . .

. . . began on Tuesday, really, when I returned to school! I'm repeating Upper 6th as I only made it to January last year because of my illness. Truthfully, the first day was pretty rubbish. It was a massive step up from what I've been used to and it was really difficult trying to do everything everyone else can do. Having to keep up a conversation constantly and all the walking around really exhausted me. I came home that day absolutely broken but I was determined the next day would be better. It was, but by the time Wednesday was over I really felt like I lost all the progress I'd made with my health.

So I've only managed two days so far but I still see that as an achievement & I'm determined to get my A Levels - it just isn't going to be so easy!

On Wednesday afternoon though, my dad and I went to Subway which was delicious as usual! It was also really nice just to spend a bit of time with him.

I managed to miss The Great British Bake Off but I've since caught up and I'm over the moon Nadiya got star baker! She is without a doubt my favourite and the one I'm hoping will win. Let me know who you like if you're watching!

I haven't been able to do a lot since then as I've mainly been resting. I've also managed to pick up some kind of sickness bug which means more nausea than usual! FABULOUS. Thankfully it's looking like it's only gonna be a short term thing - the shorter the better!

In other news, I've been playing James Bay's album non-stop. I definitely recommend giving it a listen if you haven't already!

All in all, it wasn't the greatest week but I do have hope that the next one will be better! Get involved in the comments below and let me know what you go up to this week!

How was your week?

Thanks for reading,
Maeve
