MixMatchMe - the online dressing room!

Hello everyone!

When something cool appears on my radar, I don't want to keep it all to myself - I want to share it with you! I found MixMatchMe on Twitter and quickly hopped over to their website.

In my younger years I would spend far too long quite a while on Stardoll browsing their virtual shops, finding outfits and styling them on my cartoon avatar. It was my way of putting together outfits I didn't have the means to or the confidence to wear in real life. As I got a bit older I inevitably grew out of it but my passion for styling remains.
Step in MixMatchMe.

MixMatchMe reminded me of Stardoll in that you can attach clothes to a virtual model but that's where the comparison ends. It cuts out the childish extras and allows me to see how real clothes would look on a lifelike model similar to myself.

Here's the 'dressing room' where you can choose the items for the model. As you can see on the left hand side there's all the categories you need such as dresses, shoes, tops etc. and that's where fun starts. You simply click on the item you want and it automatically puts it on for you. No faffing around with dragging it across, or any real life changing room annoyances like trying to take off tight jeans in a cubicle that barely fits your handbag in! We've all been there.

I really like the feature that lets you tuck in and tuck out the tops to whichever bottoms you choose. It's a small detail but something which brings the experience somewhat closer to being real.

Adding to the reality is the fact that the clothes on the site are all, well, real! You can shop the outfits you create as all the items are linked back to their original brand website. New Look, Topshop, Urban Outfitters - they're all there and more.

Here are some of the outfits I've created on my profile. There is a social aspect to the site in that you can follow other users and like their outfits.

If all this sounds good to you, you can sign up and follow me here!
