Currently Trying // First Impressions!

Hello everyone!

I currently have a few beauty products which I'm just beginning to try and I thought you might like to read my first impressions on them.

Here are some mini reviews of the things I'm testing out at the minute!

dr paw paw impulse true love sally hansen double duty base and topcoat first impressions currently trying beauty mini review

Dr Paw Paw

I'd heard so many good things about this so when I was offered the chance to try it I said yes immediately! I can see why there's so much hype around it, it really is a brilliant multi-purpose product. Containing paw paw (papaya), it claims to soothe and moisturise lips, skin, cuticles as well as hair. I've also heard it can be used as a primer so I'm excited to try it out in that way! So far I'm loving it as a lip balm and to moisturise my nails. So softening.

The only thing I'm not so sure on is how much squeezing it takes to actually get out of the tube! That said, it might just be because I have the sample size. It usually comes in 25ml tubes which would make a great investment as a little goes a long way with this. It's definitely in a league of it's own when it comes to hydration!

Impulse True Love

I haven't used Impulse in years, what a throwback product! A good friend of mine recently gifted me this out of the blue and I'm so glad she did because it smells gorgeous. What with the two scent components being freesia & tangerine, it has both fruity and floral notes which I love. The scent is surprisingly long lasting & powerful for a body spray! Plus, it's cheap as chips so I don't feel that guilt that I'm wasting money as I sometimes can with expensive perfumes. I'd definitely consider trying more of these!

Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Topcoat

This came in my Coloristiq Manicure Box (review of that here!) and as soon as I saw it, I was pretty excited to give it a go. I never usually use a base coat but I'll definitely be using this from now on! So far I've tested it underneath China Glaze Daisy Know My Name? which is a neon yellow and I was a bit worried it might stain without a base. Luckily, Sally Hansen served me well! I'm keen to try it as a topcoat next.

So those are my first impressions! Get involved in the comments below and let me know if you'd like full reviews on these once I've tested them a bit more. Just say the word!

Have you tried any of these?

Thanks for reading,
Maeve
