10 Things To Do When You're Broke
Hello everyone!
Why is it that when you're broke your wishlist is the longest? The struggle is real. Today I want to share 10 fun things you can do to distract yourself when you're strapped for cash!
Read
I'm sure you've got a book on your shelf that you've yet to read or at least one you'd like to re-read! Books are fabulous things. If you want something new to read you can always pick up a few for super cheap at your local charity shop!
Make mug cake
This one is a recent discovery of mine and it's one that can be a little addictive! Luckily it's not very expensive at all and only uses a few ingredients you're bound to have in your kitchen cupboards.
Go for a bike ride
We're coming into the Summer months now and bike rides around where I live will always remind me of being a child. Make some time to dust yours off and get some exercise in at the same time!
Clear out your wardrobe
I love having a clear out & rearrange! It'll give you an idea of what you have and what you really need so you don't end up buying clothes needlessly. Plus, you can always sell your unwanted stuff online!
Have a movie night
Personally I much prefer nights in. Not least because they're so much cheaper! Just grab the snacks (mug cake, anyone?), gather the friends & chill.
Make a Spotify playlist of all your favourite childhood songs
Check out my 90s/00s one!
Visit a museum
The Ulster museum is probably one of my favourite places in Northern Ireland. It makes for such a fun day out and it's free!
Spend an hour in the local library
If you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all, try the library. It's another place that's fabulously free and seriously underrated!
Catch up on some blog posts
You never know what could inspire you when you scroll through your Bloglovin' feed. And again, we have to take a minute to appreciate the fact that it doesn't cost a penny to do so!
Try some crafting
Why not get creative in your free time? It doesn't have to cost a lot either - as we were constantly reminded on those arts & craft shows as kids, you can use bits & bobs you have lying around the house. If you're looking for some ideas to start you off, try my Craft & DIY board on Pinterest!
