Coloristiq Manicure Box // Festival Fever!

Hello everyone!

You may remember last year I reviewed the nail polish rental service, Coloristiq. I'm proud to say I'm an ambassador for the brand and when I heard they were bringing out monthly Manicure Boxes I was so excited!

They kindly sent me over their June box which is festival themed. Let's take a look at what's inside!

The DETAILS

Coloristiq started out offering nail polish boxes you could rent for a month in an attempt to aid that 'house full of barely used polish bottles' problem. However, the idea behind the Manicure Box is a little different. You're still getting a box filled with gorgeous nail polish but with the Manicure Box you don't have you send it back, you get more goodies & you don't have to subscribe to a contract - you can buy boxes whenever you feel like!

The PACKAGING

I was so impressed with the attention to detail! Opening up each layer keeps the element of surprise a little longer and makes the whole thing so exciting. This really would be an incredible gift to give a nail polish lover!

The SWATCHES

I've never tried any China Glaze polishes before so I'm very happy to finally get my hands on some to try! The shades I got are Daisy Know My Name? & Glow With The Flow and I couldn't be more pleased as I know I've get plenty of use out of both! So far I quite like the formula; the pink took two coats to become opaque while the yellow one took three but that's fine by me. They're both truly neon, highlighter-esque shades which I love!

I absolutely love Models Own polishes so seeing Blue Skies from their Festival Collection inside was fabulous! I was pretty impressed at the fact it was almost opaque on the first coat but I applied two to get maximum pigmentation. I actually don't have a lot of blue polishes and I definitely didn't previously own one of this shade so it's a very welcome addition to my collection!

You can't really go wrong with OPI in my opinion and Serious Sparkle is a true stunner of a top coat. It contains both tiny glitter particles and confetti strands - could it get any better?! I've applied one coat over Blue Skies and two on it's own so you can get a feel for what it's like.

The EXTRAS

Inside the leaflet you get a step by step tutorial by fellow blogger & ambassador Lauren of The Naily Mail - what a lovely added extra! I've just followed Lauren's blog and if you're into nail art I recommend you do too!

As well as the tutorial, there's a 10% off promo code for TempTatz - ideal if you've got a festival coming up. I've had a wee look on their site and they do some pretty cool designs for temporary tattoos!

My THOUGHTS

I think the Manicure Box is a brilliant idea that's only made better by the fantastic price of just £15. It's packed with stuff and has a value of £33. Very decent if you ask me! I love how Coloristiq are showcasing indie brands as well as better known ones and giving bloggers a spotlight too.

I'd be happy to fully review the Sally Hansen Double Duty & YRNails Foils once I've tried them out properly - leave me a comment if you'd like to see that!

You can find out more about the Manicure Box & get one on the Coloristiq website here.

Well I hope you enjoyed this post! I also just want to say how proud I am of Coloristiq - they really are a lovely team & they've done so well since starting out. Get involved in the comments below and let me know if the Manicure Box sounds like your sort of thing!

Would you try the Manicure Box?

Thanks for reading,
Maeve
