Pink Friday by Nicki Minaj // Perfume Review

Hello everyone!

To celebrate the fact I'm going to see Nicki Minaj live in concert tonight, I thought I'd review the Pink Friday perfume for you!

Although she's brought out a few more perfumes since, Pink Friday was Nicki's debut perfume aptly named after her first album. It's available in three different sizes: 30ml, 50ml & 100ml in a bust shaped bottle which will probably divide opinions but being a huge Nicki fan, I love having it sitting on my shelf!

Top notes:
Starfruit, Italian Mandarin & Boysenberry

Heart notes:
Lotus Flower & Jasmine Petals

Base notes:
Vanilla, Carmelized Pear, Musks & Woods

I know scents are almost impossible to describe but I think looking at the notes capture it quite well - on first spray you get a lovely refreshing fruity scent which wears down beautifully into something pleasantly floral - not overpowering at all. Vanilla & pear are definitely there too, and being two of my favourite scents they fuel my love for this perfume!

Despite spritzing this most days, the 50ml bottle lasted me almost two years until it ran out - not bad if you ask me! I picked up a gift set in Boots containing the 30ml, a rollerball & body lotion which have been keeping my Pink Friday scented needs going but I'm definitely going to be buying the 100ml as it's currently just £19 on Amazon!

The only slight downside is it doesn't last too long, only a few hours max before it needs topped up again. That's where the rollerball & lotion come in handy - I find if I apply the lotion to my body, the scent lasts a lot longer and having the rollerball in my handbag means I can reapply whenever I need. That said, I can't for the life of me find it which is why it's not in the photos. It must be hiding in the bottom of a bag somewhere! The lotion has a very fine shimmer which might not be everyone's cup of tea but I think it's lovely and feels very silky on the skin.

Prices vary between around £20-£40 (depending on size & where you buy them) which I think is pretty standard for a celebrity perfume.

So there you have it, my thoughts on the Pink Friday perfume by Nicki Minaj! I really want to try some of her other perfumes - let my know in the comments below which one I should go for next!

What's your favourite celebrity perfume?

Thanks for reading,
Maeve
