Thinking Out Loud | OOTD #1

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing with you my first 'outfit of the day' post!  It's a very casual one as the weather was not so nice outside so I didn't go anywhere. I had a nice lie in and stayed indoors to got some work done. My mum and I had a lovely lunch together as we do every Saturday. I realised the combination of olives and feta is delicious, seriously, try it!

I love everything about this dress. It's cute, comfy and can be dressed up or down. I chose not to accessorise as I didn't want any jewellery to annoy me when I was doing work! I believe this cost me a mere £8. What a fantastic bargain. What I love most about it is that the waistline sits in just the right place making it quite flattering. The pocket is a nice touch too - small but functional!
The knee socks are from two Christmases ago. I loved them but always found them quite difficult to style, until today apparently! I pulled them out of the drawer thinking they'd be comfy and hell yes they are. They save my legs from being cold (and are great if you haven't been bothered to shave your legs again) so I'd like to get some more wear time out of them. Any styling suggestions?

Oh, and incase you noticed and were wondering, no I'm not wearing shoes, I've just been in my slippers all day. All about the comfort today!

For my outfit posts, I would like to title them after a song I've been loving recently and share it. This week my Ed Sheeran tickets came in the post! I saw him in Belfast last year and he was incredible - definitely worth the money to go see again, especially to hear songs from his eagerly anticipated new album. Thinking Out Loud is a one of Ed's new songs which I just love, along with Sing and Don't. My excitement for October is crazy!

I kept my makeup look very natural and simple today - I just buffed a little L'Oreal True Match onto my skin, added a light blush, one coat of mascara and swiped some clear Baby Lips in Hydrate over my lips.
I tried using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush for foundation today, when I usually use it for powder. I absolutely love the effect, it blends foundation wonderfully therefore making your base look so much more natural.
