Summer '14 Plans + Ambitions
Hello everyone!
It feels like Christmas was 2 minutes ago but here we are, nearly halfway through June!
I just have one exam left on the 19th June and after that I plan to do a lot. I really want to take you along with me every step of the way, so here's my little Summer ambition list, if you will.
I'm posting this to organise my ideas, but even more so that you lovely lot are aware and will make sure I achieve them!

I'll start with the definite - I'm going to see The Midnight Beast in concert! They announced a tour and I was gobsmacked when I saw Belfast was on their list of places to perform! My sister and I love them, we watched their two TV series and their songs are always making us laugh. I just know it'll be a fun night and I'll most definitely be doing some posts related to closer to the time. Now just to find an outfit!
I really want this Summer to be a creative one, and a way I hope to do that is by getting busy in the kitchen again. I used to cook all the time but this year not so much. During the Summer I'd love to make some new dishes so if you have any suggestions I'm all ears! I will of course document my recipes here on my blog so look out for those.
Art has always been a passion of mine but somehow doing it as a school subject has sucked all the life out of it. It just makes it a chore, know what I mean? While I'm off school, I'm determined to paint and draw as much as I can, as well as doing other crafty things. I'd love to learn to knit and crochet and with the help of my good friend Roberta and fellow blogger Hayley I have no excuse not to!
Something I don't do enough of, then get annoyed at myself for not doing is taking photos. I enjoy photography so much but I rarely think of taking snaps of the little things in life. I want to get to the stage where I'm taking photos of all sorts of beauty I see everyday, whether it's a fantastic landscape or just a tiny ladybird.
Stemming from this idea is scrapbooking. I would love to compile a book full of memories using the photos I've taken. I often feel like I'm just drifting through life and not taking everything in, so I think a scrapbook would be a lovely way to reflect on things. Can you relate?

I live in the countryside and what with the sunnier (fingers crossed) months coming up, I really have no excuse not to go for walks more often! Even if I walked only fifteen minutes everyday, I could build up my fitness and have plenty more opportunities for photos. Daily walks, that's a certain Summer ambition.
I had to give up my job to put more time into A Level revision, so I no longer have money coming in. I was always extremely grateful for what I was paid, but for the bare minimum wage and being exhausted and stressed from it, I am in a way glad to get out of that job. This Summer I would like to go in search of another job or else put my creativity to good use and sell some of my art and craft work as a little income! I need to start actively saving, especially with my formal coming up and the idea of a stay in Cambridge with my sister next Summer in the pipeline.
Being on study leave, I've loved the extra free time to blog a lot more consistently. I now have blogging on my mind everyday and I love it. Summertime will see the content on this wee blog of mine thriving and I can't wait. Youtube is also something I've wanted to do for so long and I think I've mustered up enough confidence to do it this Summer. I have a tripod, decent camera and plenty of ideas ready to start, I just need your support!
