MAC Viva Glam Nicki lipstick and lipglass! REVIEW

long time no see!

For Christmas I got my first ever MAC cosmetics.

They would, of course, have to be created and endorsed by my favourite, Nicki Minaj.

The Lipstick:

As this is my first MAC lippie, I was in awe of how beautiful the packaging is. The black and red exterior, Nicki's signature and the satisfying click of the lid make this a truly top class product.

The colour looks quite coral in the bullet but on the lips it transforms to a girly pink - it really depends on the natural colour of your lips, it shows up as quite a dark pink on mine, but if you have lesser pigmented lips it will probably look more pastel.

Either way, this lip colour can only be described in one word. POP. It will transform any look from drag to fab, although I have to say it's not the most moisturising. And you have to be quite brave to pull it off!

In the past, I've very much been one to concentrate on my eye makeup and leave my lips neutral, however I'm hoping to gain the confidence to opt for a plain eye look and a bold, striking lip colour.

The Lipglass:

Personally, I prefer the lipglass. Of course, being a gloss, it isn't drying on the lips. It's also a slightly lighter colour than the lipstick. As well as the lipstick, you have to be a little brave to wear it, but I think this would be a lot easier to pull off than the lipstick if you were unsure which one to get. The gloss-factor is fantastic! It adds a really healthy sheen to the lips without being sticky. I think you could get away with this colour no matter what skin tone you have. 

Top: Lipstick

Middle: Lipglass

Bottom: Both - lipglass on top of lipstick

Being MAC products, they are a little on the pricey side, so I intend to use them sparingly on occasions and nights out. I would really recommend them if you're into bright lip colours, or if you're like me and want to be adventurous! 

In addition to this, proceeds go to a great cause (helping people with AIDS) so you can wear these with pride knowing you've helped someone out there.
