November Purchases!

Hey everyone!

It seems that as I've been doing school work and studying, my little blog has been left aside for a while, but I'm back!

I had a French speaking exam today so a lot of my time has went into preparing for that. It think it went well! Hard work pays off. Back to blogging though!

I bought quite a lot in November so I thought I'd show you it all.
I'm cutting down on spending until after Christmas so expect this to be my last haul post for a while!

Glamour magazine with free Nail Inc polish | MUA Nail Polish in 'All Nude' | Technic Nail Art Decoration Kit | Superdrug Eyelash Curlers | MUA Eyeliner pencils in 'Jet Black' and 'Royal Blue'

MUA Nail Polish in 'All Nude' £1

This is my first ever polish from MUA and I must say, for just a pound, I'm quite impressed! It's not top quality, but it does a great job. Not too thin or too thick, and opaque in two coats which is what I expect from most polishes. 'All Nude' is a lovely off white colour which looks great on it's own or as a base for nail art.

MUA Eyeliner Pencils in 'Jet Black' and 'Royal Blue' £1 each (one free)

There is a 3 for 2 offer on all makeup in Superdrug so I bought the MUA polish and these two eyeliners, so I actually got one for free! These are wow- unbelievably pigmented and lovely and soft too. I bought these because I recently decluttered my makeup collection and found that my eyeliner collection was pretty poor. I'm building up my makeup collection again so black and blue are essentials! I also have this eyeliner in white which fantastic too.

Technic Nail Art Decoration Kit £1.99

I got this little kit in New Look for just under two pounds, I was on the look out for some nail art bits and pieces because I've recently got really interested in it. With this kit you get a nail file, orange stick, nail glue and 6 tiny little bottles of shapes you can apply to the nails with the glue provided. The pink ones are hearts and all the rest of the colours are stars. As soon as I saw these I leaped to the counter to buy them! I haven't tried them out yet but I'll be reviewing them as soon as I can.

Superdrug Eyelash Curlers £1.99

I have never owned eyelash curlers before.
What a mistake.
This little magical contraption makes my eyelashes look like a miracle. My lashes are long as they are but aren't always curled up and these make a huge difference. They really open up your eyes and sometimes I'll even go without mascara and just eye this!
I looked for the cheapest I could find and so far I've had no problems whatsoever. Superdrug have even kindly added two extra little squidgy bits (no other way to describe them) to use whenever the existing one wears down I presume.

Primark Footlets £2.50

I didn't actually buy these myself because my kind friend kindly bought them for me! She said she has some and they're the comfiest thing and I cannot agree more. They are so soft and have a feeling when you step into them like nothing else. They've got grips on the bottom so they aren't slippy and I can't thank my friend enough for gifting them to me.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipsticks in 'Rose Bud' and 'Rose Petal' | MUA Love Hearts Lip Balm in 'Kiss Me' | MUA BB Cream | Miss Sporty Nail Polish in 'Blue Bath'

MUA BB Cream £4

I've got mixed feelings about this. I found the colour was fanstastic (the lightest shade for my pale skin) and so was the formulation - very light. However, I also found that it made the dry patches on my face stand out and I had to apply it with my fingers because a brush made it go on uneven. I decided to apply moisturiser underneath to help combat the dryness but I had to apply a powder for it to stay so it sort of defeated the point. It did look decent I suppose but I expect a lot better for something that claims to be an all in one face product.
I've run out of foundation so I thought I needed this as a replacement but I've ended up giving this to my sister because she likes it a lot. I've decided only to wear a little bit of powder to school anyway so I don't need a new foundation just yet!

MUA Love Hearts Lip Balm in 'Kiss Me' £2

If you read my blog then you'll know I rave about this lip balm. I first got it in shade 'Sweet Lips' which is amazing, so I wanted it in a red colour and this is fantastic!

Miss Sporty Nail Polish in 'Blue Bath' £1.99 FREE
Me and my sister share a nail polish collection and it is building up quickly! We sorted through everything and decided that we are lacking a pale blue colour so I went into Superdrug and found this. I own a few other Miss Sporty polishes so I know I can trust them for excellent colour pay off and for a great price.
I got this as part of another 3 for 2 offer on makeup in Superdrug along with the MUA BB Cream and Lip Balm so this was free!

Natural Collection Lipstick in 'Rose Bud' £1.99

I've never actually tried Natural Collection lippies but I hear they are quite good so I picked up two as they were on a buy one get one half price offer.
Rose Bud is a pretty brown-red colour, and the pigment and colour pay off are great. The only thing I could fault really would be the packaging - sometimes when I twist up the lipstick I feel like it's going to snap which is never a good thing with lipsticks, but thank goodness it hasn't happened yet.

Natural Collection Lipstick in 'Rose Petal' £1.99 HALF PRICE

Rose Petal is a pale, coral-nude colour. It's difficult to describe, when I swatched it on my hand I thought it would be a lot pinker but when I took it home and tried it on my lips it came out looking a little 'foundation lips with a hint of pink', which doesn't really suit me. However, if I apply Rose Petal and then my MUA Lip Balm in Kiss Me on top, it turns out a really pretty pink colour!

MUA Magnetic Nails Polish in '' £3.50

My sister actually bought this for us, it is such a lovely shimmery purple colour on it's own but when you use the magnet it creates a magic effect - we were amazed! It is quite awkward to use the magnet because from how I've used it, I can't seem to take the magnet away from the lid so the brush drips when you hold the magnet to your nail. I do really like this though - the first ever magnetic polish I own!

Jumper - Charity Shop £4

There are about 10 charity shops in my local town, so I made my way through them all looking for a Christmassy jumper. I know some people say never to look for something particular in charity shops because you'll only be disappointed, but I really believed that I could find one and I did! Eventually!
It's really cosy and the pattern is amazing. The label on it is faded so I don't know where it's originally from but I can make out that it says size small/medium so I marched straight over to the till with this. It's also great quality so I'm delighted.

LUSH Bath Bomb | Nail art dotting tool

LUSH Bath Bomb 'Jingle Spells' 50p

I found a LUSH bath bomb in a charity shop for 50p!
I feel like that's a massive achievement, I love LUSH products so to find one for a bargain price is just amazing. It hasn't been opened. I think it's called Jingle Spells, and you can read about it here. It's a Christmas bomb so how lucky am I?

Nail art dotting tool 25p

Another fabulous charity shop find!
I've really been getting into nail art and one of the essential tools is a dotting tool, but I couldn't find any in any shops anywhere. So when I found this little treat in a charity shop for the tiny price of 25p, I screamed inside! I actually used it yesterday and I've found a serious love for nail art.

Natural Collection Body Spray in Mango and Papaya £2

I ran out of my favourite scent from Natural Collection (Vanilla) so I decided to change it up and get a different scent I'd never tried. Mango and Papaya always intrigued me - it's a different smell. I'm not 100% sure I like it, but I suppose it's decent - an alternative fruity smell. I'll not be buying this again though, Vanilla and Passionfruit are my two favourites.

............................................................

Did you survive through that massive November Purchases?
I did buy a lot but I didn't buy it all at once, I bought them at different times throughout the month and that is my last big spend until after Christmas (except for getting my friends presents).

I hope you enjoyed this post and do feel free to tell me if you have any of these things or if you would like in detail reviews on anything!

Maeve :)
