W7 Prime Magic // Camera Ready // REVIEW

Hello everyone!
Time to share my thoughts on another W7 product for you! Today it's all about their Prime Magic Camera Ready Primer so if you're in the market for a new primer, listen up!

Let's get the elephant in the room out of the way first of all shall we? It's a clear lookalike of the Smashbox primer but having not tried that, I personally can't compare. I can however say this is a lot cheaper at just £6.95!

So what is it?

Well, it's clear, has a gel-like consistency and claims to make your skin look flawless.

I'd actually been on the hunt for a face primer for a while so when W7 kindly gifted me this I was so excited to try it, I put it on straight away! I have combination skin which leans more on the dry side and the fact it's Winter does nothing to help that. On first application I could feel it really smoothed my skin out and made my pores slightly less visible.

I left it on for about five or ten minutes without adding a foundation just to see what it would do. I looked in the mirror after that time to see the dry patches I had before had been accentuated big time! A bit annoyed, I washed my face and moisturised immediately to try and get my skin back on track.

I put this down to the fact I'd been ill and slacking with my skincare routine a bit so I was determined to try again another day.

So that's exactly what I did!

I prepped my skin with moisturiser & coconut oil in the places I get most dry then applied Prime Magic and my foundation. It worked! I definitely notice my makeup applies a lot more smoothly when I use this and masks the appearance of blemishes. I particularly like to use it on my chin area as that's where I tend to get oilest & the odd spot appears! When I use this I feel insured that oil will be kept at bay.

Does does it help makeup last longer?

Well, it doesn't actually claim anywhere that it should but I can't help but notice it does. To be honest, it's probably the amped up skincare routine but when it reduces the appearance pores & blemishes I can't really complain. It's now in my everyday makeup routine!

In short, if you have oily skin this will work wonders for you. Dry skin? Get the moisturiser out and you can make it work!

Do you use a primer?

Thanks for reading,
Maeve

No, I wouldn't.
