TOPSHOP @ LFW // AW15
The chances are if you're reading this, we have a common interest in fashion.
If like me you've scrolled through your Twitter or Instagram feed over the last few days, heck if you've been anywhere near the internet recently, no doubt you'll know that London Fashion Week happened!
I'm always curious to see what the attendees will be wearing and what the various designers have to offer but my eyes were firmly fixed on what Topshop would unveil. I think they're one of the most intriguing yet relatable of brands so when an email from them landed in my inbox this morning I was very excited! Today I want to share with you all the details of their Autumn/Winter show!
The VENUE, The FROW, The HIGHLIGHTS
I don't think there could be a place more fitting to hold a Topshop show than The Tate Britain - an iconic British gallery showcasing an iconic British brand - perfect! Nestled in the front row were some other British icons; Alexa Chung, Cara Delevigne & Erin O'Connor as well as stateside lady of the moment Kendall Jenner! If you were to ask me I'd say Kendall was the best dressed of the lot, she embodied that casual yet classy style that is just so fantasticly London so points to her. I'm getting some serious coat envy from everyone - I think it's clear to see the camel coat is going nowhere!
So it's all about the country girl going to the big city which is a concept that gets a big yes & thumbs up from me. I think it's so interesting to hear exactly what Kate Phelan, the creative director dreamed up for the concept of the show, producing a whole story behind the clothes. Sure to line the Autumn/Winter wishlists this year are faux fur, neutrals on neutrals, high necks, tartan tweed & very deep skirt splits teamed with knee high boots. The two pieces I'm eyeing up are the white patterned dress & black embellished jacket!

The HAIR & BEAUTY
The makeup artists took the English rose idea and ran with it, which is most definitely one I'm down for. Very simplistic and barely there with blushed cheeks, stained lips and pretty much nothing on the eyes. Oh and if windswept hair is in then all of us in the UK can be on trend!
So that's all from the catwalk and behind the scenes of Topshop AW15! I hope you enjoyed this post as it's something a bit different from me but I really liked writing it up & learning a bit more about the show. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to attend one!
