I Got Bitten By The Blog Bug!

Today's post is a tag - I was lucky enough to be tagged by the wonderful, fantastic, beautiful, lovely Myriam from myrberry ! Her blog is one of my absolute favourites, she is super cute and always makes great blog posts!

On with the tag -

The rules are:


  1. If you are given the blog bug award, you must answer the questions that follow the title and the title of your blog post should be "I Got Bitten By The Blog Bug".
  2. You must give the link of where you originally got this award and you can tag as many bloggers as you want. Link their pages on the post and also inform them through comments on their blog.

And the questions are:

1) When and why did you start blogging?
I started my first blog when I was 14 I think? It failed because I just didn't dedicate to it at all - but then I started another blog - this blog - Thrift O'Clock. I started this in June so I've had it for around 4 months and I have 25 followers which I am incredibly grateful for! I love this blog so much, I do it because it's about the things I'm interesting in, I enjoy writing and I also love finding other blogs to read. I love getting comments on my blog and likewise, I like commenting on others.
2) What do you like to blog about and why do you like it?
When I first started this blog, it was mainly about charity shopping, but it seems to have developed into a beauty/clothes and a little bit of lifestyle every now and again. It usually has a general theme about being thrifty and bargainista - I love getting a bargain and helping others know how to get a bargain too! I love blogging - the followers I have are amazing.
3) How did you get your blog name?
It's not much of a story to be honest, I had just came back from going round all the charity shops, and I realised I really liked thrifting. I thought to myself, I could start a blog about this! So I began to think about names with the word 'thrift' in it . . . I'll let you in on a secret, I was thinking about calling it 'Nifty Thrifting' . . . yeah I'm glad I stuck with Thrift O'Clock haha!
4) What do you think is your best post yet?
I don't know, you tell me? Sometimes I do reviews, sometimes I give out tips and advice, sometimes I show you what I've bought . . . I wouldn't say it's my best post, but I like doing Monday Question Box! I have only done it once so far, but I'm hoping as my blog increases in popularity, MQB will be a regular, known about post. If you don't know what it is yet, basically there's a tab at the top of the blog named 'Question Box' where you can ask me anything you like! and every Monday I will gather these questions and answer them all. It's a fun thing to do so ask away! 
5) What is your inspiration for blogging at the minute?
My inspiration would have to be the lovely feedback I've been getting recently!  It's so nice when I get home from school to another few comments or page views or followers. I also get lots of inspiration from the wonderful blogs I read.
6) Message for your readers?
I love you! All 25 of you gorgeous people. If there's a possibility that I ever get lots and lots of followers, remember that you were the first 25! I love every single comment from you, don't hesitate to talk to me any time you like, you are just brilliant and thank you. You make my day!
