What did you get up to on Valentine's Day? Myself and my good friend Catherine decided to film a podcast together and I thought I'd share it with you!

Podcast

Somehow we managed to record almost an hour's worth of chatting - I don't think either of us intended for it to be that long but Catherine and I get along really well so when we get talking there's no stopping us! In the podcast we cover a wide variety of topics such as Valentine's Day, blogging, music, fate, the weather & many other things so if you fancy having a listen, you're very welcome to press play and join the conversation!

I really enjoyed trying something new and want to thank Catherine for inviting me to be a part of her podcast. Get involved in the comments below if you have any opinions on anything we mentioned, I'd love to hear them!

Hello everyone!

A few weeks ago, a little yellow app came into my life and quickly became my favourite method of procrastination. It's now gone past that stage and catching up with it is a regular part of my day. I'm talking about Snapchat!

Today I want to share some of my favourite Snapchatters that I really recommend you follow!

Who to follow on Snapchat!

Karen // Lovely Girlie Bits

The queen of Snapchat in my mind, Karen's story will make you giggle everyday! I've been following her beauty reviews on her blog loyally for years and she really does invite you into her days, making you feel like you're having the ultimate craic with a friend! #publiclesonfleek

Sera // The Style Guide Blog

Sera has a fabulous sense of sarcasm and this super relatable, girl next door quality that you're bound to love! Her blog is a highly recommended read for all things style, beauty & wellness. Added bonus: her adorable puppy Kim!

Marissa Carter // Cocoa Brown

If you're a fan of Cocoa Brown tan, you may know of Marissa - she's the founder! Since I started keeping up with her stories I've felt inspired daily by her & the motivational quotes she shares. I'm not a tanner but such is the power of Snapchat, I really wanted to support her in some way so I'm currently waiting on a bottle of Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff exfoliator coming in the post with my Feel Unique order!

Sharon Leavy // Behind Green Eyes

I first came across Sharon's blog when we both took part in #IrishBlogCollab and it's always a pleasure watching her snaps. She's the definition of down to earth and is always chatting about something that'll make you laugh, for example all of the hilarious misheard lyrics she's been sharing lately!

Polly Vadasz // Sighh Designs

Polly genuinely amazes me at how much she's achieved and constantly continues to achieve. It's so lovely to get a little 'behind the scenes' peek at her illustrations in her stories! You'll never be bored watching her snaps; a personal favourite of mine was when she visited the Harry Potter studios - oh me oh my. Oh and if you like incredible food, you will not be disappointed!

Georgia // Brew Up Buttercup

Georgia is truly the loveliest of the lovely and it shines through in her blog. I always look forward to her posts, especially her Wonderful Wednesdays as they perk my week right up!  She shares my love for cats & tea and I can always rely on her to recommend me some good music!

Amber // Amber Love

Amber is another blogger I feel I've gotten to know and it's a pleasure to do so! My favourite posts of hers are her Happiness this week is... posts - can you tell I like a weekly roundup? She blogs her way through student life, with an outfit post here and an opinionated post there. I love how she's not afraid to say what's on her mind and write so honestly!

Well Georgia & Amber are just two of the bloggers whose blogs I can't get enough of lately! Get involved in the comments and tell me the bloggers you love - some recommendations would be great!

Hello everyone!

I've been watching lots of different Youtubers for years now, from beauty tutorials to fashion lookbooks to day in the life vlogs and more. One of the people in my subscription feed (and in millions of others too) is Tanya Burr. Last year she wrote & released a book which I recently bought and am here to tell you my thoughts on today!

Who's Tanya Burr & what's her book about?

Tanya is an English Youtuber. I've been subscribed to her for a while now and loved her positive, bubbly personality from the start! When I heard she was writing a book and what it was going to be about, I knew it was something different from other Youtubers' books and put it in my imaginary wishlist straightaway. I see nothing wrong with Youtubers writing books but I'll save that topic for another day!

Love Tanya is contains a whole mixture of things; advice, recipes & recommendations as well as some autobiographical sections.

Which parts did I like best?

My favourite bits were definitely those where Tanya opened up about her life, her childhood & teen years because it meant I got to know a lot more about her as a person. We're all a wee bit nosey! There were some parts I could really relate to that I previously had no idea she went through, despite being a viewer of her Youtube channel.

I also really like the recipes - she does do videos on them but there's just something about having them laid out in a book with pretty photos that I love! I can't wait to try and make those brownies.

All the way throughout the book, there are top 10 lists and sections where you can get involved and write down your own lists. While I do like the idea of them, there are some that just aren't really for me - and they aren't the ones I would've expected! I absolutely love makeup, skincare & fashion but some of the tips are a bit redundant to me as I either already know them or don't really apply to them but that's just me personally. Anyone who's maybe younger or just starting out with beauty will love the advice parts I didn't find so useful!

It has to be said, the aesthetic of the book is gorgeous - lots of mint & pink which always ticks boxes for me!

Who will like this book?

Fans of Tanya will adore having this as a physical keepsake. I wouldn't consider myself a massive fangirl of hers but by reading the book but I now see another dimension of her as the very inspiring, driven business woman that she is.

As I mentioned, if you're just starting to learn about makeup, skincare & hair then you'll love the advice sections!

I got it on Amazon where it's currently just £6.49 - half price from it's usual £12.99! I'm not sure how long it's going to stay at this cost so if you've been thinking of getting it now's the time!

So those are my thoughts on Love, Tanya! Overall I feel like I got to know a lot more about Tanya and came away feeling very positive after reading the book. Any questions? Let me know if you've read or would like to read this book in the comments below!

What do you think about Youtubers writing books?

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another gift guide - this time, it's one for the bloggers.

I wanted to play on the idea of what a 'typical blogger' would want. It's just a bit of fun, nothing too serious and I do think there are some really cool gifts here that anyone would appreciate. As with my other Christmas gift guide, everything featured is sourced from Shufflechristmas but this isn't a sponsored post, I just love the website!

Let's get started!

"Bloggers love tea, candles & cats. They also wear a ton of rings on every finger."

I have to admit, I adhere to nearly all of these stereotypes - I love cats, love candles and am quite partial to a good cuppa. The only one I don't do is wear a load of rings but I must say I do love that look! The peace ring holder would take pride of place on any lady's vanity as would a candle or two! Don't have a cat? Allergic? Cute doorstopper to the rescue!

"Bloggers love cute stationery, mason jars & fluffy socks."

Another confession, I'm an absolute sucker for stationery! But then, if you've read this or this, you might already know that. The notebook would be great for Youtubers planning videos with the video design on front - remember those old things?
I find it kinda odd that mason jars have been a 'trend' as of late but there you go. The ones with lids and straws do look quite handy though. I think they'd make a great gift for anyone, especially someone who's just moved to a new place and is in need of homeware!
I love the idea of using poloroid photos for coasters. A bloggers gonna need somewhere to set their tea while they're typing! Oh, and who said socks were a boring present? I think we'd all appreciate them if they were fluffy and looked as cute as that Boohoo pair do!

If you'd like any other themed gift guides, do let me know and I'll get on it cus these were actually really fun to make!

Hello everyone!

I've been reading blogs for quite a few years now and over that time I've come across thousands of blogs. I thought I'd share with you just a few of my permanent fixture favourites. Of the four here, some you may have heard of, some not but I'm sure you'll agree they all have wonderful little corners of the internet!

Becky - BECKY BEDBUG

If I was asked to show someone evidence of a down-to-earth person, then I'd direct them straight to Becky's blog. Through her beautiful photos and writing style, she manages to make you feel like you're right there with her in all her adventures. Plus, the lady is flipping beautiful, she's funny and she's confident in who she is.You know, I'd describe her blog as an adventure blog with sprinklings of fashion and beauty. Her reminiscing on old diaries have got to be some of my favourite posts of hers. We share a mutual appreciation for MAC Viva Glam Nicki lipstick and I do believe she's soon to be married so I wish her nothing but congratulations - I can't wait to see the blogposts that ensue!

Hayley - WATER PAINTED DREAMS

I've been struggling to come up with a way to describe the full extent of how wonderful Hayley is and then it hit me - she is wonderwoman. She's got such a bright future ahead of her what with going to study Chemistry at uni next year (which I can only applaud her for - I mean, I liked Chemistry at GCSE but a degree in it is no mean feat!) as well as keeping her blog up to the standard it is. I've loved watching her blog evolve into a lovely space for her more lifestyle-y posts. She makes me want to read more books and I'm going to (try to) learn to crochet in the Summer with the aid of her crocheting tutorials. Both she and her dog are gorgeous and you have to admire how she'll speak her mind and stand up for her beliefs. Yep, she's going places in life.

Shona - SHONA LOUISE

Whenever I'm feeling a bit less than enthusiastic about my blog I just have to take one look at Shona's blog and slap myself on the hand. If anyone can blog through hard times it's Shona. I'm not sure it's right for me to disclose everything Shona does about her health here but she does a round up post every once in a while documenting her journey for her readers. You can tell she has a real passion for blogging. Her posts tend to lean on the the more beauty and fashion side which I love, as she's only a year younger than me so we have a similar budget! She's a natural beauty and I'm so glad she's started Youtube again as it only allows us to see her genuine nature even more. She's doing so well for herself, so much so that I just can't do her justice with words.

Zoe - ZOE LONDON

For those times when I want a new lippy recommendation or tips for pale skin makeup, I head over to Zoe's for my gorgeous blue-locked fix. Not only that, her style is unparalleled. Recently, I've been captured by her travel posts and especially her post about Eurovision. It's a must read. She gives me a severe case of wanderlust all the time! If you watch her Youtube videos you'll know how funny she is. And she DJ's - do her talents ever end? This is something that really interests me as I would love to DJ and am thinking of starting up when I finish my A-Levels so I love to see her doing so well with that. Zoe's such a truly marvellous human being. Also, it never ceases to amuse me seeing which image is gonna appear on her header as it always changes!

Well now I feel all filled up with blogger love!

I hope I've shared someone new with you or have made you realise we both share a fave.
Do feel free to share your favourite bloggers in the comments as I never refuse a new blog discovery!
