Why hello there!

It's clear that Graze must be doing something right because this is the third time I've ordered a box.
It was actually a little bit of a surprise for me - I had my last box back in September and then decided not to have another for a while. Graze give you the option to push back your orders and I pushed my all the way to January, which at the time seemed like ages away. It snuck up rather quickly if I'm honest, and it wasn't until I checked my bank account last Thursday to find I had money go out to Graze that I knew to expect a box the next day!

It was definitely a good surprise though, I wasn't disappointed with any of the little punnets I received.
With my first two boxes, I spaced out the contents over almost a week but this only lasted two days in my house!

..........................................

The smoky gazpacho dip with wholemeal crisp bread slices was first to go. As an after lunch treat, my mum and I shared this. The bread slices were very hard and crunchy, and me having braces had to keep them in my mouth for a while until they softened. Not really too much of a problem because it meant they lasted a bit longer. We thought the dip was absolutely delicious though, smoky and spicy - I'd happily buy a whole jar of this!
Since trying, I've upgraded this to love on the Graze website.

Next up was cheddar gorge. Again, this was a very crunchy snack but I managed it fine. All the pieces had a nice flavour but I wasn't particularly impressed - I didn't hate it, didn't love it, it was just alright.
I'd have it again but wouldn't go out and buy more specifically.
Since trying, I've kept it as try on the Graze website.

Then sitting down to some Friday evening TV, my mum and I opened the black pepper pistachios. I love pistachios, and I love black pepper even more so this was a great addition to find in the box! It had a very intense flavour which wasn't unwelcome to me or my mum, but if you're not a fan of pepper then I advise steer clear.
Since trying, I've set this as like on the Graze website.

This morning (Saturday) I had pancakes around lunchtime and the walnut and vanilla truffle was delicious alongside. This was the punnet I was most excited about as I love all the the contents so much. Dark chocolate and pumpkin seeds the most, especially when they're vanilla infused. Before even tasting, this smelt yummy and I would absolutely have it again.
Since trying, I've put this as love on the Graze website.

Overall, a good result I'd say, so thanks to the people at Graze for choosing well!

Graze boxes are normally £3.89 unless you have a promo code or offer. On this particular box I had a pound off because someone used my code.

I'd recommend the Graze experience to anyone, and if you sign up you can have your own friendcode to hand out to people.

I'm pushing my next delivery to 14th February but in the meantime I might just try out one of their breakfast boxes.

Why hello there!

My sister knows I love nail art, so for my birthday a few weeks ago she did well to get me these! I'd never used wraps before, I always use a dotting tool to paint designs on so I couldn't wait to try out something which could make things a lot easier. Unfortunately, working in a cafe I'm not allowed to wear anything on my nails so had to hold out until I got my Christmas break. I actually applied them on Christmas Eve which was lovely to do because it got me all excited!

The back of the packet instructed me to apply the sticker to a nail, bend it under the nail then file it down into shape.

The stickers were very accommodating - in other words, way too long for my short nails. No matter, I simply cut the sticker down to size after applying then used a file. Better too long than too short, especially as I kept the excess to use another time.

Pros:
- Gorgeous effect
- Takes little effort
- Won't be too short if you have long nails
- Gives you 12 incase you mess up

Cons:

- Starts to bubble/crease
- Don't last long

For a first timer, I was impressed at how non-fiddly this actually was. I simply applied, smoothed, cut and filed. I didn't really like having to file around the edges though as it meant I had to file my finger a bit - ouch.

I added a top coat but they lasted a mere 2 days, partially because they had already started to crease from 10 minutes after application. (as you can see in the photos above)

Not too shabby though - the design is so cute and lovely for Winter, I'm not sure if Topshop still stock them because I can't find them online, however they do a good range of wraps and other nail art bits and bobs.

I got plenty of comments on these on Christmas day, so I really recommend nail wraps if you want an easy, stand out nail pattern, and I'll definitely consider nail wraps in future!

.................................................

I'd love to try some Topshop nail polishes but I just think £6 is a little much for just one polish -
what's your opinion?
-
Have you tried nail wraps before?
-
Where do you get your nail art supplies from?

Disclaimer: I was gifted these by my sister and so don't know the exact price.

Why hello there!

2013 has been and gone now, and I have to say, it was quite a big year for me.

At the start of the year, I saw the amazing Ed Sheeran in concert, then just before Summer I completed my GCSE's. Before I got the results for those, I had appendicitis and had my first stay in hospital and operation to have that removed. I attended an open air concert in July to see Mumford and Sons, Ben Howard, The Vaccines and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, all at once which was a crazy experience! Health seemed to not be on my side this year as I had glandular fever for most of November. December saw me have my 17th birthday and a lovely Christmas, and I hope you all did too.

It was a whirlwind of a year and no doubt my biggest, however sadly not for my blog.
I let it slip while I was so busy with all of the above and more.

So what does 2014 hold?

Hopefully a lot more experiences, and I am really determined to make Thrift O'Clock the best it can be!
I know it will require a lot of organisation and will because I'll be trying to do my AS Levels at the same time, but I'm starting this year off on the best possible start.

In order to do so, I've created a blogging schedule to keep to, and here it is:

Every Sunday there'll be a fashion post:
outfits / hauls / trends / how I style etc.

Every Friday there'll be a beauty post:
reviews / hauls / tips / nail of the day etc.

Every Saturday there'll be a lifestyle post:
updates / tags / week/month in photos etc.

And also, on the first Tuesday of every month, I'll share a wishlist
and on every last Tuesday there'll be a favourites post.

...................................

What does 2014 hold for you? and are you excited?

What posts would you be interested in seeing?
